Windows Phone Connector For Mac

Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Connector is a slick app that syncs media files between your Mac and your Windows Phone 7 device or Zune. Windows Phone 7 Connector.

Mac owners may not seem to be the most likely candidates for buying a Windows Phone over an iPhone, but there are certainly plenty of them in existence. Just as iTunes makes it easy for iPhone, iPod and iPad owners to synchronise their mobile devices with their computer, Windows Phone Connector or Mac provides much the same functionality or Microsoft handsets. The software can be used in conjunction with either a Windows Phone handset, or a Zune HD device and can automatically synchronise your iTunes library with your device. Music, television shows, podcasts and other media can be synchronised providing DRM is not in use. Any photographs or videos you have stored on your device can be quickly imported into iPhoto. The software also provides and easy way of updating your Microsoft handheld whenever updates are released.

Considering this is Microsoft software, it feels remarkably at home under iOS. This is an essential installation or any Windows Phone owners although some users are likely to find that the option to synchronise with iCal and Address Book is a frustrating oversight.

Windows Phone Connector for Mac 3.0 brings these changes:. Support for Windows Phone 8 devices. Drag and drop files between Windows Phone and your Mac desktop. Drag and drop files from Finder to your Windows Phone 8 devices. Support for iPhoto 9.3.2 and Aperture 3.3.2. Support for battery charge state (Windows Phone 8 devices). Enhanced capability support for Ringtone files (Windows Phone 8 devices).

Support for Retina display Macs. WhatsApp Messenger is the world's most popular instant messaging app for smartphones. You can use it to send and receive text and voice messages, photos, videos, even call your friends in other countries, and because it uses your phone's internet connection it might not cost you anything at all (depending on whether you'll pay data charges).

It's easy to set up and use. There's no need to create and remember new account names or pins because it works with your phone number, and uses your regular address book to find and connect you with friends who use WhatsApp already. You can talk one-to-one or in group chats, and because you're always logged in there's no way to miss messages. Even if your phone is turned off, WhatsApp will save your messages and display them as soon as you're back online. There's plenty more (location sharing, contact exchange, message broadcasting) and the app is free for a year, currently $0.99/ year afterwards.

This App is horrible, it has been horrible for as long as I can remember, and now with OS X El Capitan its stop working all together. I've been a windows phone user since March 2013 (Had been a loyal iPhone user before, had a 3GS,4,4S & 5) and I am all Mac at home.

Connect Windows Phone To Mac

Microsoft's Windows Phone Connector on the App store is practically useless, my Lumia 920 and 1020 always had trouble connecting to it, and now I have an Icon and same old same old, endless errors and reboots later if I was lucky it would connect once every ten tries or so! It was really ridiculous that a company like Microsoft would publish an app like this, but then again it hasn't been updated since April 2014 so they obviously don't care AT ALL about us Mac users that actually have a Windows Phone. Just look at the reviews on the App Store, All 1 star. I upgraded to OS X El Capitan (10.11) yesterday and now Windows Phone Connector doesn't even recognize my Icon as connected, no error messages no NOTHING, it's like its not even plugged in but the phone is showing that it is charging and I have it unlocked when I connect it. I really don't know what to say now other than I think I'll be going to get an iPhone 6S this week and I am going to tell my friends who I kept telling that you could own a Windows Phone and ALSO be a MAC user that I WAS TOTALY WRONG.

MICROSOFT DOESN'T CARE ABOUT US MAC USERS. Guess all us Mac users should just all get iPhones, no wonder Widnows Phone is failing to gain any traction.

HERE I COME iOS! Nope still totally BROKEN unfortunately. I just wish Microsoft would listen/pay attention to us Mac users it's disgraceful actually on their part.

El Capitan has been out for a week now and no word from Microsoft. My Icon still doesn't connect and I pulled out my old Lumia 1020 which works fine and still nothing. It will not recognize it as connected no matter what I do (the phone charges so it's not the connect)!

RALLY MICROSOFT YOU HAVE NO SOLUTION FOR US MAC USERS? THEY EVEN PULLED THE APP FROM THE APP STORE! I GUESS I WILL BE GOING TO GET AN iPHONE 6S THIS WEEK!

Connector

I recently updated to OS X El Capitan (10.11) and tried plugging my phone into my 2010 MacBook and noticed it stopped working, I thought this was just because it wasn't unlocked (yes that is also really annoying because it doesn't always sync properly!). But I kept on trying, even uninstalling and reinstalling the app.NOTHING! I was then guessing it was the new update. I then tried it on the 5k Retina iMac, which also didn't seem to work so it's nice to know it wasn't my trusty old MacBook!

Definitely must be the update! Glad I'm not the only one with this situation even though I thought the app itself was ok until it stopped working with the new update!

Windows Phone Connector For Mac

Now I have no idea how I am going to copy music/videos onto my phone!:( I did try to Google this topic the other day but only just found this as it is more recent. Microsoft need to sort their stuff out.:/ I am the one who knocks! Nope none of my Windows Phones have ever showed up on any of my Macs no matter what version of OS X I was running. OS X has never recognized Windows Phones as mountable disks, I've had 3 Windows Phones since 2013 and the only way to get to them is through the Connector App which is now completely useless!

They aren't recognized as Mass Storage devices as OS X that's why the Connector App was so damn important, I cant update my albums of music I've added to my computer through the cloud/onedrive very easily.
